Dumler and Partners represented a Russian trading house as the buyer in a dispute with a major Vietnamese supplier.
The dispute arose out of a food supply contract and included issues of product quality and incomplete customs documents. The situation was complicated by the supplier’s requested blocking of the perishable goods at the Great Port of St. Petersburg.
The parties agreed to have disputes considered under GAFTA Rules. The dispute was settled in full for our client after the request for arbitration was filed and the shipping company joined the dispute.
