Dumler and Partners provided Russian-law advice to the sellers of shares in a leading global supplier of marine navigation systems in a corporate dispute. The dispute arose from breach of the share buyback terms and was complicated by the involvement of multiple stakeholders.
The dispute included proceedings in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (BVI) and a number of separate litigations in the Russian courts challenging transactions between shareholders, and bankruptcy proceedings.
Our mandate included drafting a detailed expert opinion on Russian law for use in the foreign litigation.
As a result, our clients’ financial claims were settled in full.
