Dumler and Partners represented a Russian shipowner in a dispute with a German operator arising out of a series of charter parties. The case was considered by a panel of arbitrators of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Two arbitrations out of different charter parties were merged during the arbitration.
The case was complicated by the respondent’s attempts to sabotage the arbitration proceedings. The panel of arbitrators ultimately awarded our client’s claims to pay for the charter and related damages, and to reimburse all costs of handling the case.
